Garage Floor Epoxy & Finishes | Newcastle & Hunter Valley

Garage Epoxy Flooring Newcastle

Durable, non-slip garage floor coatings that are easy to clean and built to last — for homes across Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Taree.

Most garage floors are a mess. Bare concrete that stains, cracks over time, and tracks dust through the rest of the house every time you walk in. We fix that. Floortex Industries installs professional epoxy garage floor coatings that seal your slab properly, look genuinely good, and hold up to everything a garage throws at them.

The Problem With Bare Slabs

What Raw Concrete Is Actually Doing to Your Garage

Unsealed concrete is porous. It breathes, which means it traps moisture and odours underneath the surface. Oil soaks straight in. Dust lifts off constantly and follows you into the house. Over time, moisture and wear cause cracking and pitting — and once that starts, it gets worse.

The good news: it doesn't matter how rough the slab is. Cracks, pitting, staining — we deal with all of it during prep. You end up with a sealed, hard-wearing floor that looks nothing like what was there before.

From porous, dusty and stained to sealed, clean and durable.
Garage Epoxy Options

Choose Your Finish

We offer three main epoxy systems for garage floors. Each one suits different styles and budgets.

Most Popular Balanced Look & Grip

Flake Epoxy

The most popular choice. Vinyl flakes broadcast into the base coat add texture, hide slab imperfections and give you natural grip underfoot. Available in dozens of colour blends.

Great for: everyday garages, mixed-use spaces, households with kids & pets
Clean & Minimal

Solid Colour Epoxy

Clean, flat finish in your choice of colour. Works well in workshops and commercial-style garages where a simple, professional look is the goal.

Great for: workshops, showrooms, commercial-style garages
Premium High-Impact Look

Metallic Epoxy

A high-gloss, designer finish with a depth and movement that looks genuinely different to anything else. Each floor comes out unique — no two are identical.

Great for: feature garages, home gyms, showcase spaces

Step-by-Step

How We Install Your Garage Floor

Preparation is everything. A coating is only as strong as what's underneath it, which is why we don't cut corners on surface prep.

1

Surface Grinding

We mechanically grind the concrete to open the surface, remove contaminants and give the epoxy something solid to bond to — far more effective than acid washing alone.

2

Crack and Pit Repair

Any damage in the slab gets filled and levelled during prep. We deal with the condition your floor is in, not the condition we'd like it to be in.

3

Epoxy Application

Base coat, flake or pigment broadcast, then built up to the specified system. Each layer is applied correctly and given the right cure time before the next goes down.

4

Clear Top Coat

A hard-wearing clear coat seals the finish and adds the final layer of protection. Ready for traffic within 24 to 72 hours, depending on conditions.

Garage Transformations

Your Garage Deserves Better Than Bare Concrete

The feeling you get when you pull into your garage matters more than most people admit. It's the last thing you see when you leave in the morning. It's the first thing that greets you when you get home.

A clean, well-finished floor changes how the whole space feels — and it's one of the easier upgrades to make to a property.

We're not just floor coaters. We treat every garage floor as a design job, not just a coating job — which is why our results look the way they do.

Why It Feels Different

What You Get With a Floortex Garage Floor

The benefits go beyond how it looks. A properly prepared and coated garage floor changes how it wears, cleans and feels every day.

Every system we install is about long-term performance as much as the finish you see on day one.

Built for daily use, not just photos.

Sealed Against Oil & Stains

Nothing soaks through. Spills wipe off the surface instead of grinding into the concrete.

Non-Slip Finish

Flake systems and anti-slip additives give you traction underfoot, even when the floor is wet.

No More Concrete Dust

Sealed concrete doesn't shed. The dust that tracked through your house stops at the source.

Built for the Long Term

Professionally installed epoxy in a residential garage regularly lasts 10 to 15 years with basic cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question about garage epoxy flooring in Newcastle? Here are the answers to what we get asked most often before we start a project.

In a residential garage with normal use, 10 to 15 years is realistic for a properly installed system. The main variables are the quality of the surface prep, the product used and how the floor is maintained.
Plain epoxy can be slippery when wet. For garages, we recommend a flake finish or an anti-slip additive in the top coat — both give you better traction without affecting the look.
A standard double garage with a flake epoxy system typically falls between $1,500 and $3,500, depending on the slab condition, size and finish chosen. The best way to get an accurate price is a free on-site quote — we come to you, look at the floor, and give you a written figure.
Most single or double garages are completed in two to three days. The floor is usually ready for light foot traffic within 48 hours and vehicle traffic within 7 days.
Yes. The floor needs to be completely clear: no vehicles, shelving or items sitting on the slab. We'll advise you on timing when we confirm the booking.
